The Sword of Change

A synopsis on The Sword of Change

The Sword of Change, or more commonly known as "100lb sword" is a weapon in which that the user, given the proper blessing and or has by some means acquired the sheer magical strength to wield the sword, can change the weight, and make or model of the sword. While the base form of the sword is rather simple, with a 1 foot, or 30.48 centemeter handle with two seemingly black bricks that are around 2-3 inches thick on opposite sides of the sword seems rather silly and or stupid, that is further from the truth.

Who uses The Sword of Change?

The people who most often use the sword of change are often people who have acquired demigod-like strength and wish to acquire a weapon that fits their power status, say The Custodes for example, in fact all of The Custodes uses The Sword of Change, though it's not like they carry it around all the time though.

What is the Sword of Change?

The Sword of Change is a very complex tool that as stated before, only creatures who possess enough raw and magical strength can possess it succesfully without any major setbacks. The two black slabs that jut from the handle on their reverse respective sides are infact a material that is not well known and which I will not tell you as of now. The material, for all intents and purposes is black because of all kinds of souls infused together with a very hard crystal base. Though the reason why it's black is because the primary form of soul is the soul inclined for summoning related magic. Case in point, the Sword of Change is a portal with a handle.

How is the Sword of Change used?

The Sword of Change is used by simply casting your soul energy through the sword itself and opening the portals and essentially 'choosing' what weapon one would wish for, most users often opt for the "Buster" kind of sword type, which is exceedingly heavy for reasons yet to be known to the common knowledge folk. Though there are many kinds of weapons that one could possibly 'choose' from

If the Sword is so powerful, why is it not mass-produced?

One of the biggest problem with the Sword alongside the fact that it is extremely hard to wield and not even the top one percent of humanity can wield is how rare the materials required for the sword are. To begin with, the entire sword needs to be made of a material that to some extent allows soul energy to flow through it without heavy enchantment, and most of those materials are hard, because the more a material can transmit soul energy, often enough because of how there needs to be more space between the molecular bonds themselves to allow the energy to flow through, naturally the material is weaker. Which cannot be true for some of the heavier weapons that The Sword of Change has to offer, such as the "Buster" sword variant. Therefore this weapon is not mass produced. This is also without getting to how hard it is to create magical portals after Summoning Magic was banned during the Great Terrors.

What materials make up the handle of the Sword?

The materials that make up the Sword of Change are many things, to begin with an alloy between solidified soul crystal and Feti, another rare element that is considered the strongest element without any magical boosts, this alloy is strong and hard on the outside, while it gets a tad bit weaker on the inside to allow the soul energy to flow. The way the weapon supports itself is a little bit of magic involved, which takes almost half of the weight of the weapon and tool desired to help balance the sword out, as if it had some sort of Artificial Intelligence.

Proportions of the sword

The proportions of the sword are as estimated, Handle:Estimated 1foot(30.48cm) Blade/Portal Size:2-3foot(60.96-91.44cm)
