Makiel is Gil's mentor in the thieves guild in Greywall. She saw promise in him and a type of optimism not seen in most rouges in her line of work. He took to her teachings quickly and though she's very aware of the school boy crush he harbors for her, she's always found him professional and putting the job first. Still flirting back seems to be what motivates him.
There are a lot of rumors as to who she really is other than a mid-level boss at the Thieves Guild:
- She is a Princess that left her title for a Life of Adventure.
- She is the Daughter of a Theif King
- She is a bored Goddess slumming it with mortals
- She's the daughter of a god and/or Demon stuck on the material plane
