Amelia Maeve Vogt

Amelia Vogt is a current Valar of Farflare, and matriarch of influential Vogt Family.

Early Life

Amelia was born on 4th of Alaantaya 867 AR, to then Valar Garrus Vogt and his wife Tonia (maiden name Samali). She has two younger siblings, brother Cassius, born in 871AR and sister Cassimera, born in 875AR. As a oldest daughter of a historically matriarchal house, Amelie received the best possible education, she excelled during her studies especially at history and politics. She also received a martial training typical for noble scions.
At age 12, as is traditional in most noble houses, Amelia was sent to a friendly family for continuation of her studies, that family was House Everborn of Vargas. She spent most of her time at their rural estate or mansion in Tel'Astra. During that time, even though she didn't possess magical talents, she became proficient in arcane arts to the point of becoming an ritual caster.

In service of the Magister

At age 16, because of her apparent future in politics, Amelia became an attendee of Farflares Magister Finnus Telasti of Valar Council. This educated her current understanding of working of Valar Empires politics. During that time, when she was 18, in 985AR, her father died in an apparent accident, Amelia came back to Farflare for inheritance council. She was deemed to be too young to rule at this time, and the new Valar was appointed, her aunt Ginevra Vogt. Amelia came back to Tel'Astra for another two years, but after Finnus retired in late 987AR Amelia left the court and joined the Lorekeepers.

The Lorekeeper

Amelia spend next ten years, until 896AR as a servant of The Lorekeepers, at first in Vergas and later in Farflare. Not much is known about her time in the Lorekeepers, as most of their work is secretive. During that time she married a fellow noble Mathias Xantar, who at the time was also a member of the Lorekeepers.

Valar

As her aunts health was deteriorating, she abdicated and Amelia was pronounced a new Valar of Farflare. While in power she focused on improving Farflare standing in VE, improving economic circumstances of populace. She also had to deal with two crises: increase of slave raids by various Akhatai and domestic organizations and also the slow growth of hybrid and shadow activities. In 931 AR, Amelia became the first Valar in history to address the Lightbringers directly to start recruitment of their armies.

Family

Amelia is a mother of 2 sons and 2 daughters:

• Garrus - born 890AR, died age 25 as a Captain in VE military.
• Henrik - born 892AR, a wizard of Convocation
• Penelope - born 895AR, a high rank member of the Lorekeepers
• Ginevra - born 902AR, serves as a spymaster of Farflare, currently part of Brava court in Ensborough, under a assumed name.

Her sister Cassimera is the heir apparent to Farflare throne.
