Maitera, Neitis, and Naiz
Maitera
The softer of the two, Maitera embodies the emotional strengths of the moon. Maitera represents purification, fertility, life cycles, peace, and illumination. They are quite graceful and kind, watching over the planet with a calming light and relaxing presence. Their protection extends to childbirth, family, and parenthood.
Neitis
Stubborn and resourceful, Neitis embodies the physical strengths of the moon. They represent power, wisdom, magic, manifestation, and freedom. Their presence offers a willingness to let go of one's self and others; to accept what cannot be changed and to change what cannot be accepted. Along with general power and strength, they also embody female empowerment and independence.
Naiz
Although not the only source of life and growth in Yudryae, the representation of seasonal changes belongs to Naiz. They represent not only bountiful harvests, but permanence, passion, truth, and self-identity, as well as energy in all things. Naiz is much more gentle than one would expect, considering their blazing light, and they encourage self-reliance and self-confidence in the individual.
Together and Alone
Once, these three beings were allowed to exist quite close to one another. They became lovers, drawing closer still, where Maitera and Neitis basked in Naiz's light, warmth, and attention, and Naiz enjoyed the cool, steady of the two moons.
Unfortunately, their time together was much more limited than they realized. Nova had created new planets, one of them being Yudryae; ripped away from Naiz's arms, and each other, Maitera and Neitis were forced to orbit Yudryae. Now, they are only able to catch glimpses of each other; when the two moons pass each other, and when they are no longer hidden from Naiz by the planet.
Their existence is the spark of nearly all star-crossed-lovers tales, and continues to be their truth, leaving all three lonely and cherishing the small moments when they are able to see each other once more..
