Aestharyte Material in The Light of Aestharya | World Anvil

Aestharyte

The Light of Life

Believed to be the life blood of Aestharya, or the embodiment of the Ageless themselves, Aestharyte is the most valuable and prized mineral in all of Aestharya. Its mining, use and distribution is closely guarded by the dwarven clans. The clans also hold the process in which it can be refined and used a very closely guarded secret. The Elven Empire forged weapons and great war machines with the crystals and conjured intense and never before seen magics during their reign all the while keeping the secret of its use between them and the dwarven clans that served them. When the Empire vanished the knowledge of its exploitation passed into mystery with them. Few have mastered it since, but the world is growing and those who seek its power for themselves are rediscovering lost techniques.
