Merreluen
Merreluen is a city built on the banks of a delicate natural harbor on the planet Adara in the Carina Achelois Star System. The city is truly a contemporary wonder. Its wonder is matched by the backdrop of majestic forests, which have helped shape the city to what it is today. The riches these forests brought are of great importance, but they are also influential when it comes to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built with many natural elements to keep in line with the forests.
The skyline is scattered with towering skyscrapers, and they clearly show what they represent to the city. Science and development is flourishing in Merreluen and it has attracted a lot of attention. New cultures have left their mark not just on the city's development, but also upon the city's identity. What historically was a city of no variation has grown into an amalgamation of differences and it's this that unites the two-and-a-half million people to this day.

They have high values for ethics and are known for their natural vistas, popular entertainment being drinking, and their respected profession is their religious leader. Discrimination is class-based, major taboos are hygiene, and major social ills are alcoholism. In others, you can drink to your heart's content, but you are frowned upon if you are an alcoholic. The multicultural identity has truly left its mark. Hundreds of concession stands, theme restaurants, and bistros offer a plethora of culinary choices and those who feel hungry for something else can enjoy arcades, theaters, clubs, or one of the many other recreational venues.

The population of Merreluen is 2,453,837 people with it being equally split between urban and rural life on the island. The literacy rate is one hundred percent. The gender ratio is 5:9 male/female and the fertility rate is up to 2 children per family. Life expectancy is 74.2 years.
Politics
The political structure is an oligarchy, with only the religious city council holding power over everyone. It's strong influence is popular support with the main issue of the city being religion. The stability is stable. Personal freedoms are extremely good and scandals are very rare. Yet, foreign relations are causing Merreluen to be at war, even though they are winning.
Military
Merreluen's military is weak in strength with their focus being outerspace. After dealing with the Galra Empire, those on Merreluen have taken to understanding the stars in order to protect themselves from the dangers of being overrun once again. Their main military unit is stealthy spaceships. All their soldiers are volunteers, who wish to not be under the control of another empire. The main use of their military is for exploration, and all ranks are elected by the public.
Economy
The ecomony revolves around a bustling market that is military-related and their main import is food-related. The technological focus is also military, while the tradie is highly abundant. Their strength is weak and declining, explaining why their wealth is all government-controlled. In the market, Merreluen is able to bring in more money than the civilizians see in their pockets, however, the wealth goes to the renovating lost buildings and advancing whatever technology they come across. This leads to many military spacecrafts wanting to dock on Merreluen to complete trades and buy whatever other products and merchandise they need. In return, those of Merreluen attempted to trade for whatever tools they needed. Thanks of the market, Merreluen became the best market business in their solar system.
Religion
Merreluem's religion is polytheism and focuses on converting others to their faith. Worship is held in small temples with solemn personal prayers conducted in special rooms. Their associated artform is songs and prevalence is believed by almost all. Holidays are very few and superstitions involve luck with the prevalence of superstitions being very rare. Magic only appears in myths.
