Cosmic Wolf Species in The Liberation Insurgence | World Anvil

Cosmic Wolf

Cosmic wolves are generally found in the Quantum Abyss, where the Vrouryn Kingdom heads to collect these creatures so that they may raise them as their own. Some cosmic wolves are even able to be adopted out. And due to their abilities, cosmic wolve are sought after by any who have heard of them.

Anatomy

A cosmic wollf is an alien creature not seen very often. They have dark blue fur and a fluffy blue mane, which concentrates on the scruff of their neck, and continues down their back and forms their tail. They have an area of pale blue fur which dominates their forehead, runs down the bridge of their nose, and frames their face. They have another 'v' shaped patch of blue fur on their chest. They have a teal waterline around their eyes, and teal lines on their haunches and the fins on their ankles.

Abilities

A cosmic wolf has the ability to teleport short distances with one-to-two people. Using this ability creates a small storm of blue sparks. They use this power to help them out-maneuver their opponents, strategically placing themselves above, behind, or away from their enemies. They can also attack enemies inside their ships, if they happen to chance across a ship. They are incredibly intelligent and are also smart enough to act as a delivery wolf between ships, such as teleporting between them to deliver food in mid-flight.

Dietary Habits

If you compare a cosmic wolf to a wolf on Earth, you'll find that a cosmic wolf is a carnivore, and while they can eat a few types of berries, that does not make them an omnivore.

Breeding

To breed a cosmic wolf, you must obviously have a male and female of the species. A female can go into heat three times a year once she reaches two years of age and her gestation period lasts for four months. Once she births a litter of one to seven pups, the female will take care of the pups for the duration of a year before they can be weaned off and placed into new homes.

Owning One

Taking care of a cosmic wolf can have its challenges. Just like a cat on Earth, a cosmic wolf can easily take care of themselves. Usually, you only have to worry about feeding them, walking them (they don't need a leash as they are capable of staying with their owner due to their intelligence), and cleaning up after them. Playing with them (i.e. fetch, chase, or tug-of-war) helps to relax them and expend whatever energy they have stored in their bodies.
