Many members of The Unkindness are also members of Zhentarim. Yet, because of the size of the Zhentarim organization, these mutual members only make up a small minority of Zhentarim's overall members. This membership is not required by the Night Mother, but she has blessed the relationship between the two organizations and encourages collaborations.
