LEGO City

LEGO City was a bustling metropolis and capital of Earth. It was a sprawling modern city located on the east coast of the City realm, and served as a central hub for the entire world. The most recent mayor of the city was Paul Simpson.

Districts

The city was divided into a number of separate districts and smaller neighborhoods, which marked specific parts of the city.

Downtown

Downtown was the central district of the city, which was considered to be the city center. It mostly had tall skyscrapers, which contained offices, stores, and shopping centers.

Business District

The Business District was an extension of Downtown and contained mostly large businesses, banks, and the LEGO City Grand Museum. It also contained the Big Building and the Brick House, as well as other government buildings such as City Hall.

Cuttersee

Cuttersee was the large industrial area of the city, containing factories, cargo terminals, transport companies, and refineries. It was named after R. Stone Cutter, whose stone quarry provided a boost to employment and allowed the city's docks to be expanded.

Port Authority

Port Authority contained the city's docks and main seaport, as well as various shipping-based businesses and shipyards. It bordered Cuttersee, providing a direct connection between the industry and overseas transport.

Uptown

Uptown contained additional smaller offices, as well as the LEGO City International Airport and the city's transportation hub.

Gold Beach

Gold Beach was comprised mostly of hotels and entertainment venues, all aligned to a beautiful golden sandy beach. The sheer beauty of the sights and seas made this part of the city very attractive to tourists and the richer folk.

Belle Hills

Belle Hills was a residential district, comprised entirely of high-priced villas and beach houses. It was considered the crème de la crème of LEGO City, especially, obviously, by those who can afford to live here. Everyone else just saw this as a big showcase of the egos of those who lived there.

Denwood

Denwood was the entertainment district of LEGO City, featuring primarily movie and recording studios, as well as a variety of entertainment venues and attractions. It was named in honor of the inventor of LEGO cinema, Albert Denwood of the oldest movie studio Denwood Pictures.

Green Hills

Green Hills was a suburban residential and commercial neighborhood with affordable homes, a shopping center, and various other small businesses and venues.

Demographics

LEGO City was populated primarily by Citizens, being in the City realm. However, being a metropolis and the capital of Earth, the city was also home to minifigures of other themes, such as Knights, Pirates, and Cowboys. Some of its smaller neighborhoods featured specific theming, mostly attributed to these minifigures gathering together.

Government

The city's administration was found in City Hall, in the Business District, which is also where the Big Building was located. The mayor was responsible for governing the city in cooperation with the City Council. The City Council was comprised of several city officials that were elected by the city's population.

Public services

LEGO City had several public services that managed various aspects of the city. As part of the city administration, the heads of these services were also members of the City Council.

Emergency response

The LEGO City Police Department (LCPD), Ambulance Service (LCAS), and Fire Department (LCFD) provided emergency services for the city.

Infrastructure

LEGO City and its immediate countryside contained modern transportation infrastructure, with roads, highways, railways, and airports. It was considered to have a reliable public transportation network, allowing its inhabitants and tourists to travel to and from the city easy enough. The LEGO City International Airport was where most of the busy airlines connected to from around the world, and its railway hub provided rail connections to the city and the countryside of the City and Western realms.
