The Collapse

Overview

The collapse was the implosion of the New Drop Republic and the civil wars that followed caused by the death of Dew Drop. The Collapse completely upended society and caused permanent devastation across the world. The collapse was the most important event to happen in the universe apart from the creation of the Earth itself.

History

The wars began with the assassination of Dew Drop in 6719. The assassination was carried out by Fire Drop so he could seize power. Immediately Fire Drop gained control of the New Drop Republic and declared Marshal Law. Anti-Drop resentment had been growing and soon radicals formed 3 insurrections against all Drops. These resistances were crushed quickly but were soon followed by the Anti-Drop Resistance. This force was powerful and managed to sway the military into joining the resistance. The capital fell quickly but no Drops were present as Fire and Air Drop seeing they had lost the war fled. The remaining Drops didn't realise the war was lost until it was too late. All remaining Drops lived in Rusako at the time and eventually the forces of the Anti-Drop Resistance made their way to the city. They met fierce resistance and when the Anti-Drop Resistance swept in they rendered the city nearly uninhabitable. In 6721 they conquered the New Drop Republic. Later that year Air Drop discovered that Fire Drop had killed Dew Drop and attacked him. Fire Drop ended up defeating Air Drop and killed him. Fire Drop began hiding his continued existence. The Resistance had been united by the hating of Drops but after supposed destruction of their enemy they split into 9 separate states in 6722. These states warred constantly for 7 years resulting in even more devastation and massacres. This lasted until eventually uniting in 6729 when the states united. This time was one of rebuilding until . The state learned Fire Drop still existed and started to hunt for him. They found him and imprisoned him, until he killed every single important figure in the government causing total collapse. The state split into 29 pieces.

Importance

The Collapse brought sizeable devastation to multiple population centres and environments. It caused complete social, diplomatic and economic collapse and the deaths of 190 million people and 6 separate Drops or all but one remaining Drop. Massacres were common during the civil wars as they were led by radicals who seeked their enemies destruction above all. In the Rusako Massacre 17.8 million died. In the battle of Shriqora 100,000 soldiers were massacre followed by the massacre of every citizen in Shriqora leading to 14.3 million deaths. The Anti-Drop Resistance irreparably caused resentment for all Drops. Dew Drop had been the single most important individual in the universe for it's whole history and now he was dead and so was all but Fire Drop.
