Fenrir

Master Godslayer (a.k.a. The Black Lion of Glepnir)

Also known as the Black Lion of Glepnir, Fenrir is a legendary Godslayer, particularly known for single handedly defeating the Greater One Godling known as Fenrirsulfr in the battle of Glepnir, 1145 a.G.A., nearly ending the war and earning the name Genrir because of this, thanks to ballads, proses and poems written and sung about him.
He carries the pelt of the Godling he slayed on his back, in the form of a cloak, as a trophy of his deed, thus earning his nickname The Black Lion of Glepnir.     Not much, if not at all, is known of Fenrir before he became a war hero, some speculate he was born from a common family in Avador, since his master Varel of Aeth, also known as The Black Shuck, is from Avador; others speculate that Fenrir was born from a noble family that went into ruin and were forced to sell their child to Godslayer Varel. Of course none of these claims have solid evidence behind them; they are merely the gossip of peasants.   After the first Reginvojne Fenrir became a living legend, but as the centuries went by, his reputation from a hero turned slowly into a menace. Such is the fate of most Godslayers.
Nonetheless the people of South-Western Neragard still haven't forgotten what the Godslayers have and still done for the Land.
On the 30th of Novanos, one day before World Triumph Day, the peasants of South-West Neragard hold a special homage to Fenrir and the other Godslayers who fought in the battle of Gelpnir. This event is called Ludæg, which literally translates to "Slayer Day", where the peasants would proceed to light candles at the foot of M. Glepnir, in honour of all the deceased and thank them for their what they've done. This festival has other activities other than the one previously mentioned, which involves a series of games and story telling of what happened during the war. Sometimes Godslayers come down from their home in Mikir and participate to this event, by telling a few stories themselves. In recent years Ludæg is slowly loosing its importance with the monotonous coming of new generations few years.
