Black Angels
With thugs located in the slums as well as the courts, the Black Angels are a syndicate somewhat different then their counterparts in Merchant's Plain. They are evermore present to the average denizen of the metropolis and far less taboo. They are involved with everything from casinos to smuggling, upper class as well as beggar, inside the city walls as well as a presence in nearly every trade route and waystation on the route to and from Merchant's Plain. Don't be too at ease with the less taboo of nature that the Black Angels have; wronging them is still a death sentence, and due to their involvement in all levels of society, one that is very difficult to evade.
Their 'associates' tend to dress less thug-ish than the average cartel member. Most tend to wear a metal masquerade mask in order to keep a peace of anonymity to their presence. The leader of the Black Angels is Thomas von Paine whom has a well known villa near the Guild District in Merchant's Plain. He is known to host high class functions for the leaders of society in his villa. He is also known to be a profound collector of the arts, though most would say he looks far from the typical patron of them.
