Overview

When a mortal creature dies and the soul has nowhere to go, it decays into pure magical energy. This mirrors the decay of the body. All the thoughts, personalities, and memories of the soul are stripped away and corrupted. This leaves a chaotic unstable husk of a soul that controls the body and makes the corpse a violent monster.
