Heset

Music and dance are everywhere in Khemit. From Civil and Funerary banquets to religeious processions, military parades and even entertainment working in the fields. Add the five holidays, and "The One Who Keeps Time" can find work in various capacities across the kingdom. Good Musicians can be requested by the pharaohs. There were percussion instruments (drums, the sistrum, rattles, tambourines and, later, bells and cymbals stringed instruments (lyres, harps, and the lute and wind instruments like the shepherd's pipe, double-pipe, clarinet, flute, oboe, and trumpet). Musicians played these either solo or in an ensemble, just as today.. The Harp was the most prominant for official and relegious events.
Dancing was of equal importants. different dances were performed from Religeius ceremonies to War Dances with groups parading through town. Slightly off of the profession is the requested Wailing Men and Women (hirable for any funeral Heset's can perform the grieving friend/family providing drama and performance to the ceremony.
While there is informal training, Hesets who want to make a name for themselves look towards the temples adabted to the teachings of music. Hyborians introduced the written music and Khemitians quickly latched onto it, printing many works and housing them in temples the way they do religeous scripture.
