The Keyhole

Scattered across the five oceans is a vast archipelago surrounding one large landmass, home to a city known as The Keyhole. A sprawl of many interlinked port trading islands creating an intricate merchant network dealing in fish, spices and transporting building materials around the islands.   After a colony ship coming from another world crashes into the ocean causing an enormous tsunami to sweep across, destroying most of the existing settlements and displacing millions of the inhabitants around the archipelago.   Within the shell of their old world live survivors, destitute yet determined and outstandingly resourceful; getting by each day through scavenging and fighting over what little fertile farmland was left over from the crash, mainly as much of the sea-life either perished or has since mutated as a result of off world contamination originating from the fallen ship.
