Personal history
Myron was born into one of the wealthiest Lunar households; The Van Waltz Family. From day one he was raised with a silver spoon. He soon discovered his skill and aptitude for mechanics by dissembling and resembling every device and machine in his family's estate. Myron was a shut in, with no friends and straight A's. He graduated at Luna's most prestigious campus, Armstrong University. As a graduate student, he worked with Hank Clemont, and performed some morally questionable experiments which put both of them in hot water among their colleges. Fortunately, Myron's influential and wealthy parents put in a good word at Adonis Genetics and landed him a job there. He worked as a lead researcher and developer, pushing boundaries in the field of nano-technology, with the help of his co-worker, and later wife; Lorelei. After several years of work with Adonis Genetics, Myron and Lorelei Van Waltz were ready for the next steps of their state of the art nano-technology, which proved to be problematic. To continue their development would violate numerous laws pertaining to the outlaw of artificial intelligence. Myron's parents warned him strongly against doing anything to soil the name of the university or the family by conducting illicit experiments. Myron was fully prepared to fight for his right to continue his work, when Lorelei was diagnosed with cancer and given a year to live. Myron worked furiously on finding a way to cure his wife, and after eight months was running out of options. Forgetting or ignoring the consequences, Myron began the next stage in his nano-technology research, and began attempting to use nano-bots to fight off Lorelei's cancer. Unfortunately, he had begun the process too late. Just before losing his beloved, secretly, and with Dr. Clemont's help, Myron downloaded Lorelei's conscious into a heavily modified personal data device. Adonis Genetics came down hard on Myron's "failed" experiments and had him fired immediately. The Van Waltz Family payed hundreds of millions if not billions of credits to scrub Myron's termination and familial disowning from any public records. With no friends, no place to stay and little money, Myron bought a ticket to Mexico City to meet with Reggie, who had smuggled illegal materials and subjects to Myron for his projects in the past.
