The Kejen Archipelago

A swashbuckling adventurous land of pirates and rich colonizers, with everyone looking for more gold, The Kejen Archipelago has inns to ghost pirate ships for any hardy adventurers looking for a loot-filled journey. A great portion of the archipelago is owned by the Shibit Empire, warring with the numerous pirates that have appeared as a side-effect of their ultra-capitalist motives. The main portion of the Shibit Empire is in another continent far away across a treacherous ocean, with their main motive of colonization being money.   The pirates of Kejen were spawned from the Shibit's rabid colonization efforts leading to and economic crash for the existing residents and forcing Kejenians into a life of crime. At the moment the Shibits are attempting to eliminate the pirate threat, but since they don't realize they are the root of the problem, nothing is going to get better for anyone. Due to a lot of Kejenians being criminals in the Shibit's eyes, most Shibits are incredibly racist and make it as hard as possible for any Kejenians to behave as regular citizens.   The technologies of this area are mostly magic related and magic in this world stems from the stars leading to nearly everyone having some form of telescope. A form of weapon that also stems from the magical properties of stars is the gun, a powerful projectile weapon powered by stardust, an explosive compound that is found in asteroids which are very common for this world.   A general summary of The Kejen Archipelago is that ultra-capitalist colonizers called the Shibit Empire are causing a war, which is fueled by guns and racism.
