Pasutgiruta Vehicle in The Kaleidoscope System | World Anvil

Pasutgiruta

Table of Contents
The "Spark Seer" is the first Rilsu spacecraft to travel to a planet - specifically, Tuvasuno.

Power Generation

The ship's main power is produced by a central core with 256 large harnessed crystal fire cells. 64 smaller cells are located near the vital systems as backup power generators.   The generated electricity is distributed through four multilayered conduit grids.
  • The ventral power grid supplies the central hover pads, waste recycling units and main shock absorbers.
  • The dorsal power grid supplies the A.I. system, communications array and secondary shock absorbers.
  • The left and right wing power grids supply the respective side's propulsion units, hover pads and sensor arrays.
Critical systems like ventilation and heating are supplied by all four power grids.

Armor and defense

Pasutgiruta's hull is designed to disperse heat while exiting and entering Ranul's atmosphere at high speeds.

Communication Tools & Systems

The ship possesses a long-range radio array for reporting its mission state and research findings back to Ranul. Additionally, a wireless intercom system connects the portable computers of the individual crew members.

Sensors

Apart from the numerous sensors monitoring the ship's own systems, there are 16 sensor arrays along the outer front edge of Pasutgiruta's hull. Each array is designed for gathering high-resolution images of Tuvasuno in a wide range of electromagnetic wavelengths.   Pasutgiruta also carries eight atmospheric drones for exploring Tuvasuno's settlements. Those are equipped with cameras, microphones and radio antennae, as well as various chemical and weather sensors. Furthermore, each atmospheric drone possesses a noise-cancelling system and is covered in optical displays for visual camouflage.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Like all Rilsu vehicles, Pasutgiruta is equipped with an Artificial Sapient system. The machine mind is responsible for routine maintenance tasks and assists the crew in various ways, for example by optimizing steering parameters, organizing the research data or managing the overall mission schedule.   Another important system are the shock absorbers which counteract the ship's acceleration forces. Their main component are specialized cushions built into the crew's chairs. Those cushions absorb the kinetic momentum and convert it to electrical energy which is then fed back into the ship's power grid.

Oo I really like the different power grids. Sounds really fancy. I like all the thought that's gone into this.
