Kororo

History

Kokoro cannot recall her own death, or even why she is a harionago. Still, her story as it stands, begins in Louisiana of all places. Summoned by the recently widowed voodoo witch Gram-Gram Gisclair, Kokoro was an accident in the modern world.

Gram-Gram had recently lost the love of her life in World War 2 and, distraught at facing a hundred years or more of magically extended life without her husband, attempted to summon and bind his spirit. In her haste however, she summoned the antithesis of her strong, masculine spouse. She summoned a soft, diminutive, non-english speaking japanese woman.

The failure to summon her husband on her first try proved to be a balm for the young witch. Gram-Gram now had a carring, loving ghostly room-mate who wanted to ease the witch’s loss and pain. Mrs. Gisclair for her part had to teach an ancient ghost how to speak english and use 1940s stoves and whatnot.

Eventually, Mrs Gisclair succeeded in summoning her husband. The three of them a happy, albeit odd, family in the heart of louisiana. However, Kokoro’s loving heart of gold held nothing back. Between the two women, they opened their doors to the hungry, the distraught, the hurt. They helped magical and mundie alike where they could. Standout cases of their care included raising and adopting Mosi Gisclair and mending Argen’s mind.

With time however, she’d move to Atlantis. Her interest in caring for others materializing into an onsen built into the cliff face of the crumbling town. Her partner of the fused buildings and the owner of the business being Maeve Alan. Despite the werewolf’s best attempts, running a solvent bar was not her strong-suit. And so the harionago set herself to task, running Onsen and Bar alike, managing both with the efficiency for which asian matrons are known.

Physical

Physical Eval. Forward

Kokoro, as a ghost, aka undead, is an odd amalgamation of living and unliving traits. In her case, she is an ectoplasm-heavy ghost. While ectoplasm frequently 'rubs off' when ghosts interact with material objects, allowing them a bridge to connect to the physical world. Possibly subconciously, Kokoro does not leave a residue. I've casually dubbed it 'Ectoplasm Retention', and the reasons are a mystery to us both. She is, functionally, as solid and flesh-like as she wants to be.

Due to her undead status her 'health' is a bit of an oddity and differing from others in Atlantis. She naturally creates ectoplasm, both her physical substance and her 'life-force', but she can consume food to hasten the development.

Really, her physical body is at the 'peak' of health as it were. My only suggestion is that she should eat less, allowing her body to produce less ectoplasm. But given her undead status, this would be purely asthetic. Furthermore, given her proclivity for cooking, I doubt such a suggestion will not fall on deaf ears.

Physical Condition

Kokoro is a ghostly woman who has transcended physical flesh while retaining her earthly form much like most ghosts. Due to her continued physical manifestation, Kokoro has developed quite the maternal and curvy figure from the buildup of ectoplasm in her form.

Her skin is a pale, near-porcelain white. Her limbs soft and untoned. She has body of a woman who has not done hard labor, or atleast a ghost glut on ectoplasm. She even furthers this image by floating a foot off the ground at most times, never walking anywhere. Another aspect of her ghostly form is the expressiveness of her eyes. Fogging over and becoming opaque when she’s ephemeral, they also can appear as small hearts when she is with someone she is particularly affectionate towards.

Special abilities

Her hair is longer than her body, prehensile, and luxurious. The raven black locks gleam in the light even as she moves them around like many limbs doing tasks around her. Along each hair are barbs she is able to retract at will, her silky hair belying the snagging, entrapping ghostly nature of the woman. She is also able to to control her physical nature. She can phase through objects and people at will, like ghosts are wont to do.

Psych Eval. Forward

I am quite pleased to state that Kokoro is quite the amenable patient and guest. As a ghost, she is different from my other patients and peering into her mind is much more unique and vibrant. This is partly why mental health is so important for a ghost such as her. Being an etheral being fueled by emotion, her mental stability is directly tied to her 'physical health' as well.

Given that ghosts who manifest darker emotions 'go feral' over time, Kokoro's stability is both Addison's and my primary concern in her health. I find this incredibly unlikely to happen to her however. Kokoro is the epitome of stable and happy, furthered by her work, hobbies, and loving relationship with Addison. I am pleased to say I look forward to our next session over tea. I would hope she brings some of her mint cookies, but knowing her, she will bring me some weeks in advance when she thinks of me.

Psychological condition

Kokoro is the epitome of love and caring. Her eyes are always smiling, her ears always open, her shoulder ready to rest a world-weary head, her arms and hair ready to entrap someone in a hug.

Her voice is sparkling, joyful. Her floating body invoking thoughts of ‘bouncing happy’. Her words are always kind, she rarely has something unaffectionate, kind, or positive to say. Her smiles and genuinely happy outlook are infectious. Her giggly laugh has been the downfall of many an angry frown and her warm hearth, home, and hugs have slain many a hungry belly and lifted entire choirs of drooping spirits.
