Noble House of Kamnal-Gemke

House Kamnal-Gemke is the branch of the House of Kamnal charged with the maintenance and day-to-day running of the critical outpost. Due to its distance from the centers of Kazed's politics, culture and economy, the Kvukri sent to the station were ones that were regarded as both reliable but self-sufficient. The Kamnal-Gemke Kvukri and clones tend to be interested in making sure their home is safe and stable while also eager to leave port to chart out the unknown region around said station.   As House of Kamnal was one of the five to lead the construction of Gemke Station, they maintained a large presence on said station. Said presence was such a large one that overall maintenance and day-to-day running of the station fell onto their members. To better manage things, the head of House Kamnal formally established a branch house (Kamnal-Gemke) who would live on the station and manage it. The Kamnal-Gemke Branch House was filled with a selection of the more independence-oriented Kamnals that were interested in a more self-run life rather than rigid strictures expected for House Kamnal.   The Kamnal-Gemke's are a boisterous bunch, eager to welcome traveling Kvukri into their station and regale them with stories from their own frontier scouts (the fact that each story gets increasingly more wild and rationally unbelievable is simply brushed aside). They are known to be ruthless hagglers though, eager to secure rare foodstuffs for dirt cheap prices while ensuring that their own trade goods are sold for the appropriate prices (read: as high as they can push them and still sell them). All of this contrasts greatly with their parent House of Kamnal, which is well known for their serious demeanor and generally quiet nature. Kamnal-Gemke members are also known to favor a more squat appearance (by Kvukri standards) over the more prominent and common tall, lanky frame favored by most Kvukri. It should be noted that Kvukri are quite tall naturally and tend to exaggerate their features (such as their height), thus squat to them is more akin to a typical human in appearance.   Due to their relative isolation, the Kamnal-Gemke's are more open to adopting worthy clones into their line than is typical for most Noble Houses. They mark this with the Bohar Rite, the formal welcoming of a clone into the House of Kamnal-Gemke.

So... I found myself attracted to these people - their characterization was very good, and I felt like I wanted to maybe go visit them. But when you come back to this article, I would add information that is missing - What expanse do they live near? Cross link to other things in your world... I feel like this is probably a space going world BUT there's no hint of that here, and it could be a "wild west" or "aboriginal outback" type of thing. Best wishes with this - I think you have a great start on an interesting article.
