Master Biomancer

A Master level Biomancer is in the highest tier of both Biomantic skill & knowledge as well as the top of Kvukri society. Only the heads of the Noble Houses are higher, and many of them carry the title of Master Biomancer themselves (though not all do). The position not only grants a set of privileges on par with the titled Nobility, House Heads and high government officials, it is a rank of immense respect.
In order to achieve this rank, one must be a particularly skilled Biomancer and have made at least five novel innovations to existing biotech or developed one's own creations. While five is the minimum, it is typical for prospective Master Biomancers to have far more credits to their name. Furthermore, one must demonstrate total mastery of all the common branches of Biomantic study and practice. Exceptions to this rule do exist, as some individuals find themselves limited to only one or two branches of Biomancy. In such cases, a Master of those particular field will judge them on their mastery of those arts. It is also a traditional expectation, though not a hard requirement, for a prospective Master to undergo a trial based on their most preferred branch of study. For those favoring combat oriented skills, a battle rite is undertaken. For more purely scholarly Biomancers, one example of a trial is defending a thesis on some particular invention or innovation that they have developed. Since this type of rite would greatly vary between individuals, it is optional. Though it can be undertaken in lieu of another requirement instead if needed. Finally, it is expected for a prospective to have at least one or two current Masters advocate or otherwise support the prospective in their attempt for Mastery.
While the requirements require master of common arts of Biomancy, the title itself will be associated with the branch of Biomancy most favored by the new Master Biomancer.
