Bohar Rite Fruit

The Bohar Rite is a major ritual event by the members of House Kamnal-Gemke of Gemke Station (this ritual has also spread to the members of other Houses living on the station) in which a clone is honored with the privilege of selfhood after passing all prior tests to showcase their capabilities. The ritual takes place over a minimum of one day but is typically at least two or three days long (not including preparation for said ritual). The centerpiece of the ritual feast is the Bohar fruit, a specially created fruit developed in the Kazed system which has since become a popular treat across the system. For the people of Gemke Station, the fruit is rather rare since they can't properly grow it on site and as such its use in the ritual bearing its name renders it a special item.   The fruit is a creation of Biomancy, made by combining several choice genetic strands of local plant analogs to the Komri fruit from the Homeworld to make a new fruit. The Bohar fruit is a particularly large, fleshy fruit filled with juice and typically red in general color. The outer appearance of the fruit is typically made to order by a Biomancer at the request of the customer.   The Bohar Rite is split into four main parts: the ritualized showcase of the honored/high clone's various deeds, the actual ceremony affirming the clone's selfhood & welcoming into the House of Kamnal-Gemke, the public ritual feast of said confirment and the private House ritual feast to conclude the rite. During both the public and private feasts, the central dish is made with the Bohar fruit in some way. The exact dish is usually a request made by the clone for whom the ritual is being done for. It is traditional for the clone to select one fruit to be a piece from which they eat raw during the public feast to signify their acceptance of the adoption.
