Oracles of the Goddesses Organization in The Hylian Fantasy | World Anvil

Oracles of the Goddesses

We personify the communication between the Goddesses and the people of the land. We dance to the secrets whispered on the tune of the wind.
Three physical manifestations of the Golden Goddesses. The oracles stand as the closest ears to the three Nayru, Din, and Faore. Unlike Hylia who reincarnates into the Royal Family of Hyrule, the Oracles are not the Goddesses themselves, but rather a vessel for their energy or their mouthpiece.   The three current oracles are Jalier of Veseen, Molsha Tholdea, and Kel.

Carriers of the Ancient Songs

While the Oracles act as mouthpieces and priestesses for their Goddesses, they also serve to carry on certain traditions in the arts. The Oracle of Din is trained to remember and teach cultural dances spanning back to the time of the Sealing War, while the Oracle of Nayru does the same for songs, both played and sung. The Oracle of Faore is a bit different, being tasked with remembering and orally reciting ancient texts. Many of these are believed to be lost excerpts from the Book of Mudora or other lost secrets. Unlike the others songs and dances, these secrets are not shared to the general public, only carried on from generation to generation and told in solemn trust to heroic forces against evil.

Both orders act in the interest of the greater Hyrule.
