Octorok (/ɑktɹɑk/)

A bulbous creature with eight prehensile tentacles and an ability to draw in large amounts of air into its body. There are over a dozen subspecies of the standard octorok, such as the Aquarok, Ignerok and Imitorok.
These creatures are suprisingly fast on land, giving them an ability to flee from their rare predators. In water, they prefer a somewhat stationary lifestyle, using their air bladders to suck in water and fish. Part of this process included filtering minerals and small debris they cannot consume, which the octoroks body condenses, allowing them to propel the resultant material as a projectile up to 60 meters! All species except for the common Pedoroc have the ability to burrow themselves underground with only a fascimille antenna that looks like a plant or rock stocking out of the ground.
