Book of Mudora Document in The Hylian Fantasy | World Anvil

Book of Mudora

A hand illustrated Manuscript written on velum by ancient scribes over 68 thousand years ago. Only five leaves of this book exist today, within which lie only a total of 36 pages. These leaves are most notable for containing two seperate scripts upon them, written by different yet skilled hands. The first and most prominent is in the ancient "sky writing", a language with no known equivalent in the modern time, but whose writing can be found throughout ancient temples in Hyrule. The second appears to be a translation, written in Protarian Hylian. Samples of this writing are found amongst newer ruins and it is believed that part of this manuscript was purely used for translation.   However, each leaf contains exquisite, hand drawn iconography done in vibrant, contrasting ink. The remaining pages of the Book are kept in the Hyrule Royal Family Library at Hyrule Castle
