Characters
Stat Array
Characters can use either of the following stat arrays:
- 16, 14, 14, 12, 10, 10
- 16, 14, 14, 12, 12, 8
Starting Level
Players start at level 2.
Max Level
Max level is 8, however progression doesn't stop there. See
Advancement Past Eight.
Hit Points
Max HD for all levels.
Starting Wealth
Characters start with 20 Arcus and a free starting outfit bundle worth 1 Arcus. See
High Magic Economies for info on Arcus and Nobile. Prices found in other articles in this world will be listed in Arcus and Nobile. You can't craft during character creation.
Outfit bundles can consist of any mundane outfits or accessories which provide no mechanical benefit and which the total combined cost is 25 GP or less. Please list the contents of your outfit bundle on your sheet.
Traits
All characters gain two traits following the normal rules for traits. Any traits which have Golarion lore as a prerequisite are restricted and may not be chosen before they go through lore approvals.
Age
All characters must be at least an adult of their race. Characters do not gain penalties or bonuses for old age.

Advanced and Legendary Talents
Advanced and Legendary talents which have no level based requirements (BAB, CL, Ranks, etc) are available to any character. Talents which have level based requirements are available at level eight as part of post 8 advancement. See
Advancement Past Eight for more information.
Firearms
This campaign uses the Emerging Firearms rules.
Favored Class Bonus
Favored Class Bonuses can only be used for the skill rank or HP options, racial/class options are not being used.
Setting Rules
Capped Total Modifiers
Fractional Base Bonuses
We use the
Fractional Base Bonuses rules. Spheres Caster Level functions like Base Attack Bonus under these rules.
Elephant in the Room
We use the
Elephant in the Room pathfinder updates.
An exception to this are the weapon finesse rules, which are removed and replaced with the following rule made with Spheres in mind. Each character gains either the Armor Training, Finesse Fighting, or Force Redirection Technique talent from the Equipment Sphere.
Oath Points in place of Wealth
All characters gain 7 Oath Points to spend on
Oath Boons. There are a few adjustments as follows:
- Characters are treated as two levels higher when calculating the benefits of all boons except for Skillful.
- The first time a character selects the Enhanced Armaments boon, they gain it a second time as if they had spent 2 oath points.
- Magical Items which only grant bonuses to AC, saving throws, and ability scores no longer exist.
Race Equity
All races receive the following abilities.
- Ability Scores: The base race gets either (1) a +2 to two ability scores of their choice and a -2 to one ability score of their choice not granted a +2 bonus, or (2) a +2 to one ability score of their choice.
This alters the base race's ability score modifiers.
- Bonus Feat: The base race selects one extra feat at 1st level.

We use the
Background Skills variant rule.
Class Skill Rank Adjustment
We use the
Class Skill Rank Adjustment variant rule.
Spheres System
This server is entirely based on the
Spheres System. All core pathfinder magic, including casting and magic items, does not exist. You may play core pathfinder classes by taking a Spheres archetype which replaces casting, or by following the Spheres of Might rules to swap spellcasting with Combat Talent progression. If there is an item which does not have a Spheres equivalent, it may go through content approvals where it will either be remade with spheres or converted if it feels like an important enough item.
Unchained Classes
This campaign uses the Unchained versions of Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, and Summoner. In addition, any feature which would give base Barbarian's Rage instead give the Unchained Barbarian's Rage.
Universal Magic
We use the
Universal Magic variant rule. Please mark your magic talent progression on your sheet somewhere so that we can ensure you are using the correct progression for your class.
