The Trench

"Listen up, maggots! Welcome to The Trench! You are all here because somehow in a hellscape wasteland, you still managed to be complete degenerates! While you are a prisoner here, you will be monitered by a fleet of fully automatic American-made automatons. We don't sleep. We don't eat. We don't have time to go take a shit. If we catch you out of line, it is a minimum thirty days in the hole. You try to escape; you will get thirty days in the hole. You shiv your cellmate; you bet your ass that's thirty days in the hole. The island here is built in the center of Lake Erie, and it is heavily guarded, and I guarantee you no one has gotten off this rock! Enjoy the first day of the rest of your worthless lives!"
  • Mr. Warden, first day orientation for new inmates
  • Purpose / Function

Before the bombs, The Trench served to house the greatest threats to American democracy. From traitors to commies, The Trench housed the worst of the worst. Due to the fact it was fully automated, the robots continued to serve The Trench well past The Great War. Now, The Trench serves as a prison for the Great Lakes Wastelands. Mr. Warden has treaties with multiple factions across the wastelands. Anyone who wants to send a prisoner to The Trench simply has to radio Mr. Warden and pay the pick-up fee.

    Denizens

Everyone in The Trench is either an inamate with a designated number or a guard. The only robot with a unique personality is Mr. Warden.

    Architecture

The Trench is a large prison complex built on top of a man made island. Since even before The Great War, The Trench was fully automated with robots. Moreover, the island is surrounded by ships and airships to act as guard in case any inmate dares an escape.
