Long ago, The Great Havens were ruled by six powerful wizards, the Elemental Sages. They ruled over a time of peace and prosperity and unprecedented diversity. Over time, though, their power waned, and the natures of the mortal races overtook the peace, and the War of the Six Realms began. The war lasted for centuries, and didn’t end until much of the population was taken to the lands beyond.   When the sun rises on the new empires, they are digging themselves out of the rubble of war and finally rebuilding, seven empires with memories of the war, trying either to stay out of another, or trying to find power for themselves.   With each empire pursuing their own motivation and their own goals, alliances shift nearly as much as the Utreshi sands, and every day brings new possibility of change, and another looming conflict. In the background of it all, whispers are spoken of the Circle of Mystics, the return of the Sages, or at least their descendants, and the populace hopes in their beds during the darkening times that the rumors prove to be true.   Hope grows despite the looming dark, that Bramor can again become the land of prosperity and diversity that it once was, and that someone will come to lift the people of The Great Havens back to where they were long ago.
