A deal with the Kiv
On Suberia, outside of the The Enith empire, it was thought that the ruler of the area to become the The Enith empire made a deal the the Kiv, promising sacrifices and his son in trade for a plauge to spread throught the other parts of Suberia. That is the general plot of the story, but it varys. The story is not belived widely anymore, because the Kiv are no longer as talked about.
Summary
There are four main versions of the story, each of them is based off of the same storyline. The storyline is that the ruler of what was to become The Enith empire sacrificed his son and others to them in order to start the plauge.

One of the Kiv appeared to him in a dream, and offered to devastate the rest of the world with a plauge, in exchange for the sacrafice of his son and 50 other citizens. He agreed, and made the sacrifice, then propared to take over Suberia. he was stoped only by The Merchants Guild or the alliance of settlements, depending on whose telling the story.

Historical Basis
It is confirmed that even before there was a plauge, the emperor was gathering his forces, but nothing more then that is.
