United Galaxy Templar Armed Forces (Templar Star Force)

Document written by: J’val Qinivar   Order to obtain the document: [Domino]   Content: This document will cover how the Templar Star Force works, their role within the Templar Armed Force, and their strategies.

While the other forces are important to the empire, they often forget the most critical of them all. Unlike them, we fight in the darkness of space with a limited line of sight. Unlike the other forces, we defend them from the horrors of space that can break any army.
— Unknown
The Star Force is the most critical formation the United Galaxy has. It can defend systems, transport armies, and concur worlds. The Star Force’s spaceships are viewed by other empires to be crude and brutal in design. The Star Force is aggressive and will use the most potent of weapons. However, this will make them have less armour, meaning they would need to take out the enemy spacecraft before they can even land a hit.

Composition

Manpower

The total amount of personal is yet unknown. The amount of spaceships in their disposal is believed to be over one hundred million. With more being made every day by forge worlds throughout the empire, it is estimated that at least two ships are built every day with the amount of crew needed to maintain the mighty vessel.

Equipment

The equipment they are given will differ depending on the solar system, the ship, and the captain of the ship. Typically they would be given a set of uniform and a water bottle. Specialist equipment like power tools and space suits will be stationed at their designated work area.

Weaponry

The crew wouldn't be issued weaponry, because they will not be in any combat role. However, if the ship is under attack, there would be weapons stored in the armoury to defend the crew and the vessel. This is the list off the weapons that are commonly mass-produced and are placed in the ship.

Vehicles

The Star Force has an extensive range of ships in their disposal. However, unlike other Templar Forces, they cannot customise their ships or create new ones. They all must follow the same template regardless of planetary resources or manpower to maintain the vessel. The list of ships in the Star Force are:

Structure

The Star Force has to types of command structures. Bridge and Fleet. Bridge is the command structure within the spacecraft, while Fleet is the command structure of mutable ships.

BRIDGE COMMAND STRUCTURE:

4 Crewmen make a team. A team is led by a Senior Crewmen.   5 teams make a section workers. A section worker is led by a Star Sargent.   10 section workers make a Hall. A Hall is led by a Star Lieutenant.   5 Halls make a Ship’s Crew. A Ships Crew is led by Second class Captain.
These numbers can change depending on the size of the ship. This form of command structure can easily be adjusted depending on the situation.

FLEET COMMAND STRUCTURE:

Fleet command structure are more complicated than the other command structures. The number of ships and types of ships needed to make a fleet is situational. Fleets will usually be made by solar system governments or minor sector governors. But it can change depending on what the situation is like taking over solar systems or defending planets. This form of organisation is confusing and is credited to be unorganised. The fleet command structure only works if everyone is cooperating and a system is made in place within the fleet that can make it function.

Tactics

Unlike the other forces where their tactics are to play defensive, the tactics used by the Star Force is to play aggressive and rush the enemy. Bombarding the enemy with waves upon waves of blunder shells and Nova cannon rounds. Their role is to quickly take out enemy ships before they can even react.

Training

The recruit will be trained on how to live in a spaceship and how to maintain it. Each recruit will be taught how to use every specialist tool and equipment, fire and reload any weapon in the ship, and how to clean the engines. The recruit will be taught mathematics and physics and how it could be used for combat in space warfare. The training process will last typically for two years.

Logistics

Logistical Support

The Star Force will transport every templar forces throughout the stars. The Star Force will even protect them from enemy spacecraft, living or mechanical.

Auxilia

Templar Infantry Force

Will advance slowly and hunker down. They will have first contact with the enemy and will be assisted by the other forces while advancing.

Templar Armoured Force

Will give the Templar Infantry Force cover fire, to aid them during their advancement.

Templar Cavarly Force

Will protect the flanks and the rear of the Templar Armed Forces.

Templar Naval Force

To aid the Templar Armed Forces during naval combat.

Templar Artillery Force

Will bombard the area the enemy is, making their advancement difficult.

Templar Magic Force

Magic users would assist the Templar Infantry Force during the advancement.

Templar Realm Force

Angels and Demons would be attached to attack magic users or supernatural threats.

Templar Knights

Enhanced Humans would be attached to take down high-value targets and positions to speed up their advancment.

Templar Scribes

Will do admin work to keep the army running smoothly.

Templar Elites

Will be advancing ahead of the Templar Infantry Force to map out enemy positions. Or they will do secret operations to attack highly defended positions, or take out high value targets.

Templar Air Force

Will protect the other forces from enemy aircraft.

Upkeep

The upkeep of each soldier can be around 3 - 2,000UD   The upkeep of each ship can be around 10,000 - 10,000,000,000UD   It’s up to the planet on how they pay for equipment and soldiers.

Recruitment

The recruit must be the age or equivalent of 16 years. The recruit will go through a physical test, and a physiological analysis to see if they are fit for maintaining the ship and its equipment. The recruit will also go through a test to see if they are smart enough to be a crew member of the empire's spacecraft. The planet will decide the test requirements and age to enter into the military.

History

One of the most important battles the Templar Star Force was a part of was the Battle for the heavens in 2229AD. The campaign was one of the first battles to have all five galactic empires fighting in one area. The battle was brutal, with over a few thousand of ships being destroyed with over millions of lives lost. The battle sparks many myths and legends, stories like the Thunder Child. The story goes that a United Galaxy ship called the Thunder Child single handily defeated two battle fleets of Revelation ships while only having one weapon in working condition and being manned by only twenty people.

Historical loyalties

Most of the soldier’s loyalists would be their home planet. Yet the soldiers would have extreme loyalties to their Empress, and High Generals that come from Earth.

Elijah, I have a standard format for my comments. I'll ask three questions and then provide one sideways observation. Because you specifically asked for language and formatting, I'll include some comments at the end addressing these items.

Three Questions

1) It's not clear whether the personnel of the Templar Star Force are full-time professional military or reservists. You say that their training level is semi-professional and also that they get a uniform and water bottle. That strongly implies that they are reservists. If this is true, how and why are they called up? What fraction of the Force are professionals? (In most cases officers and especially NCOs are permanent, )
2) If the ships must all follow standard templates and must be manned according to official tables of organization, it would seem that less populated planets would end up building and manning the smallest and cheapest ships. Who decides what ships are built, who builds them, and how they are formed into units?
3) You don't really explain what the purposes of the various fleets are or how they are organized within the Star Force. What is the overall structure and mission of the Templar Star Force?

Sideways Observation

I think that you're trying to do too much in one article and because of that you're not clearly explaining the vision that you have. There are a number of different article templates that could be used and which would clarify your intentions.   All of your vehicles should be moved to Vehicle Templates. Create a category under "Vehicles" called "Templar Star Force Ships" and put them there. Underneath the Vehicles subheading, put your paragraph about the ships and then a link to the category.   Do the same thing with your fleets, using the Organization template. And the same again with your Auxila. These articles can be short, but you need to move the content out of the main article.   Then focus your efforts on explaining what the Space Force is, why it exists, how it's structured, etc. I shouldn't look at this article and see how many people are in the bridge crew of a ship, anymore than when I look at the homepage of a major navy in the real world. What I expect to see is the purpose of the navy and the fact that it's organized into several major fleets with links to each of those fleets that explain their organization, etc.

Grammar, Spelling, and Formatting

Your major formatting issues would be cleared up if you broke up the content into separate articles that focused upon the specifics. Otherwise, your use of two- and three-column layouts makes it hard to read because headings are broken across multiple lines. Most references of naval vessels are organized with the largest and most important ship classes listed first and smaller and less important (and remember, to the navy brass, hauling ground troops is not as important as naval combat) ships are listed later. Check your local library for a copy of Jane's Fighting Ships, which is pretty much the standard reference to get an idea of how this layout works.   With respect to spelling, if you are using Chrome, it has a spell-checker. I usually write my articles in a text editor, but that has a spell-checker, too. You shouldn't have mistakes such as "VASSEL".   I'm going to be very, very blunt about the grammar: it's terrible. I don't know where you are in your education, but if you are still in school, break out your English textbook. If you're already out, invest in one.   Regardless, read each sentence out loud. Most of your sentences have at least one structural problem that you'll recognize if you actually read what you've written.

Final Thoughts

I know that these comments are harsh. I've written them because you specifically asked for a thorough review. I also did it because I think that you have a story to tell and that it's getting buried under the problems listed above. If you want people to read your work and to care about your world, you need to correct the technical faults, so that your ideas come to the front.
