Mark 72 Revolver

The Mark 72 Revolver is a bulky hand cannon made initially for the civilian population. The weapon will later be adopted by the military in the United Galaxy because of its intimidating look and stopping power.
The weapon has the following specifications:

• The weapon only fires in semi-automatic.
• The standard magazine can carry 6 rounds, the weapon can have an upgraded magazine that can carry 10 rounds max.
• The weapon uses cartridge 357 Magnum rounds, it can also fire .17 HMR ammunition if the soldier so desires.
• The weapon gives a good amount of recoil that can throw off any person whose untrained using this type of weapon before. It gives little if not any spread at all, making the weapon accurate in medium range combat.
• The weapon is able to be used in a type of environment without being clean.
• The muzzle velocity with the standard ammo is over 2000 ft/second, with only slight differences with other types of ammunition.
• The weapon has a fibre optic sight to aid the soldier for aiming.
• The weapon is easily customisable, having a small rail system on the sides of the weapon, it also comes with a bayonet attachment system near the end of the barrel. The weapons handle can be replaced with a rifle handle and stock if the soldier wants to turn the revolver into more of a rifle. This gives the soldier the opportunity to customise the weapon to suit their needs in any given situation.
• The weapons handle can change its shape to give the owner a more comfortable feel. While handling the weapon, the owner can make the handle keep its shape by just flicking a switch.
• The weapons camber can adjust its size to use any type of ballistic ammunition with a few exceptions. The most commonly used ammo for the weapon is 357 Magnum rounds and .17 HMR ammunition.

The weapon is known to look intimidating when having a glimpse of it. For the weapon to be sent off for war, it will be tested to see if the weapon is safe for the user. The weapon is perfect compact areas but suffers in open combat. The weapon is often criticised for being too heavy as a sidearm, often giving the soldier arm fatigue if using the weapon for too long. The other criticisms it gets is its bulky build, pistol holsters are made, but they are a tight fit for the weapon. The other problem is the recoil of the firearm, compared to other United Galaxy standard infantry issued military weapons the revolver gives off the most recoil. Making firefights at times end badly for the soldier wielding the weapon. The weapon is known to create fear from its enemies because of its intimidating design, but because of modern warfare, and the demands on what type of weapons should be made and use the Mark 72 Revolver falls short.
