The Grand Design
"The moon is a vast eye that beholds the world in contempt."
The swallowed islands are all that remain after a cataclysmic flood drowned the entire world in ancient times. Bizarre creatures haunt the wilderness, made strong by dark magic and the fight for survival. Men slaughter and enslave one another in a bid to control what scarce resources can be found. Terrible sacrifices are made to curry the favor of old and new gods who slaver for human blood. And the ancient sea roils and churns unending, hiding beneath its cerulean waves wonders and terrors unimaginable.
Although separated from its creators by untold aeons, men are beholden yet to the dreadful consequences of the Grand Design that was wrought.
