What is The Galaxy as a setting? In short, it is modernized Star Trek
The year is 2370. Humanity is organized into the United Republic of Earth and its Colonies, a federal state that ensures that neither Earth nor any of the colonies dominates over the rest. The state is a part of an interstellar federation of many species. Most people live in almost utopian coniditions, where hunger, poverty and diseases were mostly eliminated. However, dangers lurk in the darkness on the fringes of the federation's space.
