Ar-Ruk Central Spire
Ruins of the central spire of the voor city of Ar-Ruk were the first remnants of that city to be discovered by Humans. It is theorized that the spire served as the seat of the local government and a massive office complex. Inside the ruins, the researchers found the only computer terminal that somehow still had power. With some help from the Elam they had been able to translate some of the information in it and found the last log of the voor governor. The log explained the cataclysm which destroyed the colony and probably was also responible for the extinction of the Voor.
Walking into the ruins of the central spire felt like being in a post-apocalyptic movie and exploring the ruins of humanity. I wonder if people during the Climate Wars felt like this too
Architecture
The spire appears to have been constructed of only metal and glass. Today, the explorers need to move around metal rods which were burnt, bent and corroded by the elements. On the ground the remains of the original white floor can be seen through the soil and plants that are reclaiming the building. Researchers' every step is accompanied by a crunching sound of broken glass which fills the building.
Height
The precise number of floors of the Central Spire is unknown. The surviving walls suggest a 20 storey building, but remnants of the construction elements indicate that it was much taller. Some people speculate that it could have been about 800 meters tall. They base that assumption on the fact that it was the government centre and the highest building on Earth is about the same height. However, they remain open to new facts. They understand that the Voor were much more technologically advanced than Humans and they could have built taller buildings.
Different and cool idea. Hard to understand the context of this monument and hints at other aspects of your world without knowing more.
Is it good or bad?
