The Frozen North (Equestrian Wasteland)

Two hundred years after the end of the world, the Crystal Empire lays in ruins. Crystal ghouls wander mindlessly through the crumbled crystaline buildings and streets. Almost nothing living remains, and the freezing snows prevent would-be looters from venturing this far north.   However, something does stir in the crumbled Crystal Palace. A single purple alicorn with a curved horn, tipped in red. She slips on ancient armor with a crimson cape and a crown before stepping out onto a balcony that was still intact. She looks over the ruins of the Empire's capital before casting a dark spell that encompasses the entire city.   "The memories of this creature have shown that the world is in ruins. The princesses are no more. The biggest threat to me is a simple unicorn that is unlikely to come this far north," she says to herself. "With these monstrosities that used to be my crystal slaves, I shall build up a powerful undead army and take over this wasteland, ruling it as I was meant to."   Thus continues King Sombra's campaign for domination.
