The Frozen Lands

Geography

Some might say, there is nothing but ice in the Frozen Lands. And indeed, on first glance it might seem like it. If you look in the far distance, the only thing you see is the horizon, separated from the earth by the blinding light that reflects of the snow on good days. On bad days, when the storm Gods awaken from their slumber and their breath covers the sun, you only see the ice you're standing on.
To the natives however, every square meter of ice hides secrets. Paths, made by generations of those walking to other villages, animal tracks that look like scraps in the ice and small hills where the ice is especially thick, are only a few of the things the trained eye will see.

Fauna & Flora

Only in so many days a heatwave will come to the Frozen Lands. It never get's warm enough to melt the ice, but when the Gods will it, beautiful flowers will break through the surface. Those are the treasures of every woman, man and child. Very carefully the flowers will be collected. The natives don't need to be in a rush to complete this task however, since no animal will bother the flowers of the Gods. In the Frozen Lands, only carnivores survived to the present day. Each one of those species, no matter how small or large, needs to breed fast and hunt faster, because the only nutrients that can be found are running, breathing and also hunting.

Natural Resources

There is fur, from the animals, snow from the ground and metal from the ancestors. Not many things survived the test of time, so each thing that is made of wood, metal or any other material is handled very carefully. If something breaks, the whole village tries to repair it. If something is lost, the whole village mourns, for there is no replacement.
