Itheriax the Black

The mighty, acid-spitting black dragon is considered the ruler of the Gray Mire, a point of contention between himself and his rival, Shaergrys the green dragon. He is a truly ancient being, almost as old as some of the elves of Alphos. He has also gained wisdom and cunning, shirking the traditional legends of sadistic and despotic black dragons, to take a more secretive approach. However, Itheriax has not been seen in years (perhaps because no one has ever survived an encounter with the black dragon), leaving many to wonder if he has died in his old age, but others think he still lurks somewhere in the deepest parts of the swamp, preparing for the next stage in some evil master-plan.
