Half-Elves & Half-Orcs
Elves and orcs are capable of cross-breeding with humans. However, this occurs in individual instances, and half-elves and half-orcs have no specific culture of their own. They tend to adopt the culture in which they were raised; half-orcs are found among the Dale-Men, and half-elves can occasionally be seen in the Heartlands. However, some orcs and most elves tend to believe mixing with humans dilutes the bloodline of their people, and that their human lineage robs them of their best traits, veritably forcing half-bred individuals into human culture. They are categorized as men, because in terms of psychology and culture, half-elves and half-orcs resemble humans far more than their elves or orcs. Half-elves are not immortal. Half-orcs take human or orcish names, depending on their upbringing, while half-elves take human names (they rarely associate with elves).
