The Fractured Remains of Cerafall

Long before Cerafall was fractured there existed four mighty races vying for control. It culminated into a final war that was so fierce that it fractured the lands of Cerafall in what is called "The Shattering".   Now in a different region of the world long after The Shattering, it is the time for a vast collection of races to have their own struggles, except in their youth the prize is the Independent City-State and the Inter-Continental Trade Hub of Alstace. Once a former trade hub and military centre of the Otemairan Empire until it separation to become the only true multi-cultural country and Metropolis.   The world sits on a tense peace, but peace nonetheless, with powers both clandestine and apparent pushing for either continued peace or for war. Which way shall a party of adventurers tip the balance?
