Worldbuilding Through Storytelling

I like to build my world by writing short pieces of fiction set in the world. These inspire new ideas that I can then go back and fill in with the usual worldbuilding articles. The examples presented here are the results of challenges and exercises, whether official or not. Please enjoy them.
At the same time, please consider this as an alternative to writing standard articles for everything. You can introduce your readers and/or players to your world in a much richer manner by writing short stories that suck them in, rather than by restricting yourself to more formal articles that are driven primarily by facts.
