Depthopolis

The City of Limited Space

The ever-expanding multiverse has always led to new discoveries to the minds of science and society as a whole. While it is not too common to see worlds that use multiple interdimensional particles, Depthopolis is by far one of the biggest outliers in an interstellar sea of interdimensional cities. Depthopolis stands among some of the greatest cities of known histories as a pillar for the potentials of interdimensional societies around the known multiverse. Its stunning display of interdimensional culturalism and its strong embrace of exotic particles makes independent Depthopolis the city that it can claim to be today.   From interdimensional portal research, exotic material practices and engineering, to the stunning displays of mutant creatures that murk beneath The Slums, there's no shortage of uniqueness bursting through every port in Depthopolis. We're here today to tell you all about one of the greatest cities in this modern age, a foundation that has yet to be stepped on by modern nations and governments.

Demographics

In a multiverse of controlled populations and species regulation, you'd be hard pressed to find a city that embraces new species with open arms. But a gem in the ruff of interdimensional confrontation exists, a city that knows no bounds, a city that is willing to accept almost any form of life into its borders, The Finite City of Depthopolis. This multicultural kingpin of a city boasts the second largest species variation amongst the known multiverse. With a dashing surplus in newly discovered species from newer dimensions, Depthopolis is the at the forefront when it comes to welcoming new citizens to its crystal walls.

Government

After the rebellion and later failed invasion by The United Empire to take back Depthopolis, Depthopolis became a sort of independent city, with many new laws that revolted against the tyrannical UE. Current political positions are held up by district leaders who take orders from an electoral mayor. This electoral mayor oversees much of Depthopolis, especially including its Imports/Exports, Research priorities, Species Verification, Architectural, and Engineering sectors, which are vital to Depthopolis's Success.

Infrastructure

Many parts of Depthopolis are devised in in some similar, yet clearly different architectural strategies. Because of its previous terraforming plans before it was considered a city, Depthopolis is situated into three main groups of infrastructural ideologies that correlate with the differences in geological circumstances in Depthopolis, Underground, Surface, and Aerial Infrastructure. Underground infrastructure typically relies on both the ceilings and floors to provide structural foundations, the district of Illogica is a grand example. Surface Infrastructure is the most similar to much of the interdimensional multiverse, which many of Cardica's districts resemble. Aerial Infrastructure is a bit trickier, sense propulsion and levitation technologies or processes need to be observed and maintained, you'll find much of this type of Infrastructure above Depthopolis's beloved Cardica.
