1M cars are unusually well-armored. Most lines have no or only very small windows at the top of the car. Most stations are sealed from the tracks themselves. Officially, this is done to prevent the danger of Hegel contamination. The real reason is to prevent cleanup costs due to vandalism.

Geography

Encompassing the entirety of City One's Hegel Dome area (and more), the 1M is the largest underground transportation network known to the Fifth World. Its size is related to a construction flaw that became apparent only far into its development: While the stations themselves (with few exceptions) only have a depth of 20-50 Meters, the tracks themselves my venture far below that. This is necessary as most Kaskadian buildings have vast underground spaces. However, this also means that some tunnels go low enough to leave the Hegel Dome - with occasionally disasterous consequences.
