Almost everyone has heard the story of the fish of knowledge, a fish that supposedly can give you the infinate wisdom and knowledge of the world. What people don't know though, is that it has been found. And eaten by a cat...
It was a day much like any other, and in a small village on the eastern coast the fishermen were getting ready to start the day. One of the fishermen, however, decided to do something different this day. Instead of going out to sea with the rest of the boats, he started walking up to a nearby river. Afterwards he couldn't really say why he did it, just had a feeling. The day went incredibly well for him, pulling up fish after fish. As he moved further upstream the fish seemed to become even more, hooking themselves the second he cast out. When he arrived at the source of the river, he found a small lake unlike any he had seen. He was sure he had died and come to heaven, as he looked over the glimering water. The lake had never been there before, and he had never seen anything that beutifull. He decided to check if he could catch as many fish here as in the river, and cast out. That's when he caught it. Instantly recognizable from the stories and myths. The fish of knowledge. He practically ran back to the village, proudly showing the fish when the others returned. They collectively decided it should be shared amongst them, and a feast was planned for the next day. While planning, however, they didn't think to guard the fish. A nearby cat, having seen a delicious fish, had no shame sneaking up and stealing it. Having eaten more than half when it was caught, the fishermen let it finish. Noone is quite sure if the cat actually gained infinite knowledge, but during its entire life the village thrived.
