Linnea Andrews
Linnea Andrews was one of the people founding the research projects about the abyss, and is the person who've been aboard the Aurora the most times out of any scientist or explorer. When she went aboard Aurora the first time, she was only 20 years old. Now, at 76 years of age, she still follows along on some of the shorter missions even if the longer ones are too much of a toll on her. She now acts more of a mentor to the other researchers rather than activey researching herself, and can almost always be found at the research center supporting people and helping them conclude things from the data that's been gathered. She is well beloved by almost everyone, often being described as the whole facilitys mother or grandmother.
People who have worked with her often describe her as fair, but stubborn. It's what got her so far in her research, and the reason she hasn't yet retired. She loves her job, and is genuinely curious about how the world work. She has been heard saying multiple times that she doesn't plan on dying until she has reveled the secrets both the abyss and the world at large holds.
Linnea had a husband until his death a few years prior. They met on the job, and during their entire relationship they worked together. Being so focused on their job and with the state of the world, they decided to go childless, something Linnea says she never regretted when people have asked her. She also has a sister who worked in various factories until she retired. The two had never been very close, but they were there for each other in case something happened, as sibblings are supposed to according to Linnea.
