Davron Voss

"A wolf will always be a wolf..."   Davron was born in the remote fishing village of Susk in 1322 DR. His childhood was, like other children growing up in the untamed North of Rashemen, rustic but full of life and His people were isolated and self-sufficient. His father, Trema, was a trapper, hunter and former soldier of the Rashemi army, and having seen more than enough of war, had retired to Susk after his 3rd tour. His mother Selva was a hearty, cheerful woman from Mulptan, the furthest northern city of the Rashemi empire and a vital trading post for the families of Susk.   Late in the spring of 1328 DR, the peace of his childhood was broken when his village was raided by a scouting party of the Tuigan Horde, some twenty years before their final invasion of Rashemen. A crucial point of control for the Northern Army, Mulptan was among the first Rashemi cities to fall to the Horde, and Susk was a tiny but critical overwatch point for providing information on the movements of transports and war materials.   Trema was killed in the fighting, while Selva fled with Davron and his infant sister. They were later slain in the foothills of Southern Rashemen, when a Tuigan rider's arrow pierced his mother's heart and the child's head as they fled toward Rashemar not realizing that the Citadel had already been overrun by the horde and all but a handful of its defenders had died during its defense.   Thankfully, a contingent of Warders returning from a sortie seeking an artifact in the lost city of Delhumide at the behest of Othlor Rhamila happened upon the raiding party, slaughtering them and saving young Davron.   Though the Rashemi are not known for their sentiment, one among them -- Warder Davron -- having recently lost his own son, took the young orphaned infant, protecting him an raising him as his own son.   Growing to a man of strength, stature, and skill Davron took his adoptive father's name and the Rashemi surname "Voss" (wanderer) and entered into the ancient Order of the Warders becoming a swordsman of immense skill.   On his 20th birthday, he made Darjemma into the West of Faerun. After serving in various capacities abroad as a mercenary and sword trainer throughout campaigns in the West for four years, he returned to Rashemen in 1356 to complete Dar'jemma by undergoing the Warder's Trial which resulted in either death, exile, or the right to be bonded for life to a Wychlaran - the shadow rulers of Rashemen and the true power behind the throne of the Lion King in Immilmar.   Completing his trial, he was bonded to a young Wychlaran - Alva Whitefeather. A child of prophecy among the Hathran of the circle, Alva was believed to be the daughter of two direct descendants of the last Arkhan of Raumathar. A Hathran of immense power, she was also believed to be one of the handful of mortals to be born as a dual emanation of both Jergal (Netherese God of Death and Strife and the Dusk aspect of Amaunator) and Lathander (Faerunin God of Life and Creativity and the Dawn aspect of Amaunator).   Though her fate is unknown to anyone outside The Praxeum's innermost circle, it seems clear that Davron's bond with her has been broken...or interrupted. How he came to be in service to the Praxeum is likewise a mystery. What is known is that he has served the Praxeum faithfully for nearly nearly one hundred and fifty years -- first as a Hound; later as Valinea's chosen bodyguard and Blademaster of The Terminists. He is also one of the Quintivirate -- the 5 heads of the branches of The Praxeum who form Valinea's inner council and thus lead The Praxeum.
