Holy Order of The Five
Church of the Five's holy order and a militant power which supports the Church's power.
The Holy Order has been called on a few times throughout history. Most notably when they aided the uprising against the Bastard King, though due to The Bastard's Plague the uprising came to a halt as many of the order, just like the rest of Enther, sucumbed to the plague. This forced the order to retreat to Kirkminster Abbey and for a time the order became very isolated, with the Church of the Five ordering that the order did not get involved with The One's divine judgement to send a plague to purify the lands.
Now in the seventh age, the Holy Order's power is feared even by The Royal Council as their respect and adoration from the common people and nobles alike gives them great influence. Their numbers have bolstered throughout the centuries, and powerful figures have migrated over from Knights of Enther to the Holy Order.
Public Agenda
The Holy Order stands for one reason, to protect the faith. Their mandate is given to them from the High Herald.
The Holy Order and the Knights of Enther have a documented rivalry, with both orders believing they are serving the true rules. The Holy Order defending the faith and the Knight Order defending the crown.
