Wilson McClaine
Wilson McClaine is about as much of a hard ass bastard as you can be. He owns the Black Acre ranch, which he turned from an abandoned farm into the main source of livestock products for Adelaide, the Steel Yard and others. He employs at least a dozen ranch hands, and is a tough, unforgiving boss, but god help anyone who messes with his employees.

Personal history
Born to parents who were farmers, McClaine was raised to be a hard working and self reliant. After working on his parents farm for many years he concluded that the soil was going bad and the location made it prone to raids. He set out to find somewhere better, and found the Black acre ranch. Through hard work, grit and sheer force of will he turned it into a going concern.
Education
The only eduction McClaine received was a practical farmers education. He can read, write and add as needed but has no real use for fancy book learning.

Never been employed, always worked for himself.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Capable businessman who created a hghly successful ranch out of almost nothing. A skilled rider and sharpshooter, he came to the aid of the Steelyard when they were attacked by raiders five years ago.

Cynical and hard bitten. Sees any kind of flattery or fancy talk as an attempt at deception. Judges people on their deeds, not their words.

Fiercly independent. Believe a man must stand on his own two feet, respect is earned through hard work, and taking the law into his own hands is not just okay, its damn well expected. Insanely protective of his workers and family.

McClaines attitude towards the Steelyard is basicly that it is pit of thieves, slackers and deviants, but it does provide some useful functions like selling goods, providing medical care for his men, and regrettably selling them alcohol. Also, the steel mill is his second biggest customer. Therefore he will, as neccesary, grit his teeth and deal with them, with amazingly bad grace.
