Most of their contracts come from clients who hire them reactively, rather than proactively, meaning they are individuals who fear for their lives rather than those seeking basic protection. It is for this reason that The Swordsguard often charge a high fee for their services, and are often the first group clients look to hire in "emergency" situations.
