Liu Kang (a.k.a. Suujon Hakkdrei)
Liu Kang was once the Champion of Earthrealm, defeating adversaries of his home in the infamous Mortal Kombat Tournament. However, in one alternate dimension, his heroic efforts never came to light. Instead, with Sinister's incursion, he was murdered and corrupted into becoming one of his Nether Beasts. While his master Bo Rai Cho was able to combat the manipulative powers of Sinister and the primordial energy of the Nether, Liu Kang ultimately relented when he learned that he would no longer be counted among one of the living.
As enslaved Nether Beast, Suujon Hakkdrei retains all of his martial arts prowess from his previous identity as Liu Kang. However, his bloodline connection to former Emperor Onaga has become much more pronounced. His body has become a hybridized version of both human and dragon with black dragon scales fading into his tanned flesh. His most prominent dragon features include claws and partial talons instead of natural nails, a forked tongue, dragon-shaped eyes with an orange tinge, sharpened teeth and a four foot dragon tail that is usually wrapped tightly around his waist. In addition to his ability to produce and manipulate flame, Liu Kang has the unique ability to negate all magical effects, making him immune to magic unless it is Aether-based or rooted in pure, holy energies.
With mastery of flame, immunity to magic and martial arts prowess enhanced with a preternatural boost, Suujon has become Achlys' Champion.
