Kingdom of Dawn

A few miles behind Apollo City is the Kingdom of Dawn, which is structured into the city but separated by a vast field three miles long. The kingdom is made of flawless white stone, imbued with Aether and aesthetically identical to castles in Europe. The main castle has two smaller ones connected to it, one on either side, with a spotlight at its highest peak to guide wary travelers to the Isle that can be seen from miles away and in the thickest of night.

Purpose / Function

This kingdom is intended to be the central base of operations for the Forces of Light and those who fight against Sinister Maharana.

Denizens

Whether through fate or coincidence, the only people who have managed to stay in the kingdom for an extended period of time are heroes and allies of the gods.

Architecture

The architecture is extremely similar to that of Medieval Europe with gleaming, smooth white stone and the constant glow of Aether.

History

The Kingdom of Dawn arose as a medieval counterpart to Apollo City, reflecting the pure ideals of the gods. Although Sinister Maharana had only counted on making a single structure, it soon split off into three massive buildings that gleam constantly with Aether's energy. While Apollo City is for the public and all other visiting citizens, the Kingdom of Dawn has become a ghost town. It initially started as a tourist attraction for people who wished to see structures of yore and possibly speak with the gods. However, numbers soon dwindled due to the increasing prevalence of swan attacks. Although people believed it to be an annoyance, some who researched Greek history believed it was a warning for the gods that common people were not welcome there and that the kingdom was, in fact, a meeting place for those who wished to take on their greatest evils.    Since then, many have accepted, either passively or with renewed vigor, that Artemis' spirit lingers around the Kingdom of Dawn, fueling the animals' desire to keep out all those who are not worthy of staying in castles fit for the greatest of heroes. Of course, there are those who still try only to find the prospect, of fighting an army of swans every time they want to visit, tiresome.
